Nepal has several ancient pilgrimage sites. Each temple is attached to a legend that glorifies the miraculous powers of its deity. There are many pilgrimage sites in Nepal, such as-Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, Barah Chhetra, Gosainkunda ,Pathibhara, Tengboche; Manakaman, Gorkha, Lumbini, Muktinath, Halesi Mahadev, Janakpur,  , Tansen, and Swargadwari, Khaptad Ashram ect. Nepal is also the Gateway to Kailash Mansarovar, the mythical abode of Lord Shiva. Devotees from various parts of Nepal and India throng the temples during special festivals.

Pilgrimage sites of Nepal like Muktinath and Gosainkunda make popular trekking destinations. Muktinath is a pilgrimage centre for Buddhists and Hindus. You'll see Tibetan traders as well as sadhus from the far south of India . The shrines in a grove of trees include a Buddhist gompa and a Vishnu temple of Jiwala Mayi . An old temple nearby shelters a spring and natural gas jets which provide Muktinath's famous eternal flame. It's the earth-water-fire combination that accounts for Muktinath's great religious significance.

From Muktinath you can retrace your steps to Pokhara, or simply to Jomsom and hope to catch a flight from there. It is possible to continue beyond Muktinath and cross the Thorung La pass to walk the rest of the Annapurna Circuit but this long walk is better made in the opposite direction.

Itinerary One :

Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to hotel. O/N Hotel.

Day 02 : After breakfast, visit Boudanath and Kopan Monastery. Kopan Monastery was founded by Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rimpoche in 1970 as a center of Buddhist Teachings. Meet Senior Lama and orientation on Buddhismat Kopan Monastery. Lunch will be served (vegetarian). Evening return back to Hotel. O/N Hotel.

Day 03 : After breakfast, drive to Namoboudha(45 Kms), Buddhists call it "Tamangligi", the famous Buddhist spot, where Lord Buddha (on 7th re-incarnation) sacrificed his body to hungry Tigress and its cubs. Evening return to hotel. O/N Hotel.

Day 04 : After breakfast, visit Pharping Monastery. The Buddhist history says, Milerapa from Tibet took one night shelter in the cave, and accordingly blessed this monastery. Hindus have their version that it was Pancha Pandav who had visited this place. Vegetarian lunch will be served. Evening return to hotel. O/N Hotel.

Day 05 : After breakfast, visit Kathmandu city and Swayambhunath (Monkey temple), the oldes Buddhist Stupa in Nepal. O/N Hotel.

Day 06 : After breakfast, transfer to International airport to connect onward flight.

Itinerary Two :

Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu, transfer to hotel. O/N Hotel.

Day 02 : Full day S/S tour of Kathmandu city, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath and Boudanath. O/N Hotel.

Day 03 : Drive Kathmandu/Chitwan (approx 05 hrs). O/N Chitwan Jungle Lodge.

Day 04 : Full day Jungle activities. O/N Chitwan Jungle Lodge.

Day 05 : After breakfast, drive Chitwan/Lumbini (Birth place of Lord Buddha). O/N Hotel Nirvana.

Day 06 : After breakfast, visit Lumbini Garden and Shanti Stupa. O/N Hotel Nirvana.

Day 07 : After breakfast, drive Lumbini/Pokhara. O/N Hotel.

Day 08 : After breakfast, full day sightseeing tour of Pokhara city. O/N Hotel.

Day 09 : After breakfast, transfer to airport to conncet flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel. O/N Hotel.

Day 10 : After breakfast, transfer to International airport to connect onward flight.

Day 02: Pashupatinath Temple Yatra, Budhanilkhanta Temple Tour

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu - Pokhara on the way visit Manakamana Temple by Cable Car.

Day 04: Bindabashini Goddess temple visit with Gupteswar Mahadev Darshan etc.

Day 05: Drive from Pokhara - Janakpur.

Day 06: Sightseeing of Janaki Mandir, Ram Mandir etc

Day 07: Drive from Janakpur back to Kathmandu and on the way visit Balmiki asram.
