Lobuche Peak

Lobuche Peak Climbing - 6119m , This is a beautiful trekking peak offers various existing as well as new climbing routes to the mountain. It is one of the popular trekking peaks climbing in Nepal. The normal route for climbing Lobuche is through South Ridge. The peak consists of several small summits and the true summit requires climbing steep snow and ice slopes to the top from the summit ridge. We follow Everest base camp trek route up to Pheriche and then trek to Dughla. The base camp will be set up at 4,950m. Near a lake in a rocky hollow at the base of the glaciated South-West Face. Itenary :

Day 01 - Arrive Kathmandu

Arrive to Kathmandu, an exciting and memorable experience with the panoramic view of snow-capped Himalayan range greets your sight.

Independent Himalayan Adventure's Airport Representative will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. After arrival to hotel, Short briefing and final payment procedures.

Day 02 - Kathmandu Sightseeing

We will finalize paperwork-permit for your trip. Final checking of your climbing equipments. Sightseeing tours of Kathmandu Valley.

Day 03 - Fly to Lukla adn trek to Phakding.

An early morning goto the Kathmandu Domestic Airport Terminal for the 35 minute scenic flight to Lukla at 2804 meters. On arrival at the Lukla airport guide will brief you and introduce our supporters before we begin our trek towards Phakding at 2610 meters.

Approx 3 hours Trekking.

Day 04 - Trek to Namche Bazzar (3441 meters)

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 5.30 hours. Namche Bazaar known as the capital of Khumbu and the Gateway to Everest which is home to many good hotels and lodges here, along the whole Everest trail this is quite a big village.

Day 05 - Acclimatization day- Namche Bazzar (3441 meters)

We will spend a day here in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning of the air. As well as a short trek where a museum is celebrating the traditional customs of the Sherpa people. Today we hike up the Syangboche Airport around Everest View Hotel. From this point, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with a stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks.

Day 06 - Trek to Tyangboche (3860 meters)

Trek to Tyangboche Monastery (3860 meters) 5 hours. We trek to an altitude of 3860 meters today.

There is a beautiful monastery 'Tyangboche' is situated with several monks. On reaching Tyangboche our guide will tell you about the local monastery situated here. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or morning depending on how the days trekking went.

Day 07 - Trek to Dingboche (4350 meters)

We continue to climb as we head to the altitude of 4350 meters taking our time so we avoid getting affected by the thinning of the air. Approx 5 hours trek.

Day 09 - Trek to Dzonghla (4830m)

Day 10 - Trek to Lobuje Base Camp.

Day 11-14 - Climbing Period Lobuje Peak (6119 m.)

These four days are Climbing Period of Lobuje Peak (6119 m.) After successful climbing; back to Lobuje base camp.

An extra day is included for incase of poor weather support.

Day 15 - Trek down to Dingboche (4350 m.)

Trek from Lobuche Base Camp to Dingboche (4350 meters). It will take you 4 to 5 hours. You trek all the way downhill passing Duglha. The spectacular views of Cholatse, Tawache, Ama Dablam, Pokhalde, Thamserku, Khangtega and many more compensates you tiredness.

Day 16 - Trek down to Tyangboche (3867 m.)

You trek gradual descent path till Deboche and from there by walking over ascent path for twenty minutes you reach destination. This day you are utterly enchanted by the spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Everest, Thamserku, Kantega, Lobuche and so on. Enroute you pass villages such as Pangboche and Shomare. Pangboche is a Sherpa village with monastery, yak pasture, mani walls, chortens and terraces and houses made in typical Tibetan style.

Your night stop is in the place of famous monastery of Tyangboche.

Day 17 - Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3440 m.)

The walk from Tyangboche is mostly downhill on the main busy trail with a few steep climbs for an hour from the bridge at Phungitenga, near to Shanasha. The walk to Namche is very scenic on a long winding path. Enroute you will visit traditional villages of Khumjung and Khunde. There is an opportunity to visit one of its monastery, the only monastery that has a Yeti Scalp. From Khumjung village another 30 minutes walk brings you to the village of Khunde, where you can visit the Khunde Hospital funded by Sir Edmund Hillary Trust. After Khunde, a scenic and pleasant walk brings you to Namche for the overnight.

Day 18 - Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2886 m.) 5 to 6 hrs.

The last day of your trek leads you from Namche Bazaar via Phakding, Monjo to Lukla.

The trek is pleasant, except for few short uphill climbs and then down to the Bhote-Koshi River crossing it three times. The last uphill climb of 45 minutes will bring you to Lukla for your overnight stay.

Day 19 - Fly back to Kathmandu.

Morning flight back to Kathmandu. Enjoying your last glimpse of the mountains you have recently visited for one last time on the 35 minute Scenic flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 20 - Spare/Leisure day in Kathmandu

Leisure day in Kathmandu. It's also spare day in case of bad weather in Lukla, If you are interested in continuing on to the Chitwan Jungle Safari, River Rafting Adventure or any other tours you can start today.

Day 21 - Departure Day

Transfer for your final flight departure. The trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.
